Riversdale is an early Colonial Georgian house, built about 1840 as a coaching inn and residence. It is located in Maud Street, on the northern outskirts of the City of Goulburn. The property on which it stands was originally owned by Matthew Healy, who operated "The Goulburn Inn" from 1830. Subsequent licensees were John Byrne 1835, Lewis Levy 1843, and Benjamin Gould 1844. Riversdale was purchased by Edward Twynam in 1875, and remained within the family until acquired by the National Trust of Australia in 1967.
