Goulburn migrant hostel [vertical file]

Goulburn was the first city in Australia to welcome immigrants who would help provide labour for post-World War 2 industries. The first group of immigrants arrived at Goulburn's migrant hostel on 26 March 1951. Their accommodation was in reconditioned Nissen (Nissan) huts, created by converting the former military camp.
