The Sisters of the Good Samaritans' first arrived in Braidwood in 1878 to set up a Convent and take over the running of the School that had been servicing the District since 1859. In 1975, the Convent closed after 98 years of continuous service to the community and children of Braidwood.Through the years, the Sisters taught and tended to the needs both educationally and spiritually of the children in the district. This booklet, produced at the time of the closure of the convent, is dedicated to the memory of the Good Samaritan Sisters of Braidwood.
