The Goulburn Post
Today's Goulburn Post dates back to the mid-1800s under various names and is Goulburn's major commercial newspaper.
Access to current and historic issues is available in various formats:
- 1848-1881 (Goulburn Herald) - available in the Library on microfilm and online via Trove Newspapers.
- 1870-1940 (Goulburn Evening Penny Post) - available in the Library on microfilm and online via Trove Newspapers.
- 1940-1982 (Goulburn Evening Post) - available in the Library on microfilm and online via Trove Newspapers from 1940-1954.
- 1982-1999 (Goulburn Post) - available in the Library on microfilm.
- 1997-2020 (The Post Weekly - free weekly publication) - available in the Library on microfilm.
- 2000-today (Goulburn Post) - most recent 12 months available in the available in the Library in hard copy, 2000-2025 available in the Library on microfilm, and 2000-today available online via NewsBank.

Other Current Newspapers
The Library holds approximately one month of current issues of the Sydney Morning Herald in hard copy. Most current major Australian and international newspapers are also available online by logging in with you Goulburn Library card details:
- Gale OneFile News - full-text access to articles from more than 2300 major world newspapers, including 493 Australian newspapers, and thousands of radio and TV broadcasts
- NewsBank - full-text access to full issues of over 7500 titles, including The Australian, The Australian Financial Review, The Sydney Morning Herald, The Daily Telegraph, The London Times, The Guardian, and The New York Post. Most titles are available in full from 2020 to today, and some titles date back to the 1990s.
- PressReader - full-text access to the last 3 months of over 7,000 major newspapers and popular magazines from more than 82 countries in 60 languages.
- National Geographic Virtual Library - provides full-text access to every page of every issue of National Geographic Magazine.
- Sydney Morning Herald - reproduced full editions of The Sydney Morning Herald (including the Sun Herald and The Good Weekend from 2011) onwards from 2006 to today.
