Historic Newspapers
Goulburn's first newspaper, The Goulburn Herald began publishing in 1848, and was produced by hand press until 1860. Other newspapers published at the time include The Goulburn Chronicle, The Goulburn Echo, The Evening Star, The Southern Daily Argus, and The Goulburn Advertiser.
Today's Goulburn Post, dating back to the mid-1860s and undergoing many amalgamations and name changes during the intervening years, is the only surviving newspaper of those early competitors.
